Roomie Terms of Service

By creating an account or using Roomie, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the app.

The service

Roomie helps people who share a home manage groceries, recipes, home info and shared expenses. The app is provided free of charge and “as is”. We may change, pause or discontinue features at any time.

Your account

• You must be at least 16 years old.
• You are responsible for your account and for keeping access to your email or Apple ID secure.
• Give accurate information, and don’t impersonate anyone.

Rooms and shared content

• Anything you add to a room (groceries, recipes, home info, expenses, photos) is visible to every member of that room.
• When you leave a room or delete your account, shared content stays with the room, as described in our Privacy Policy.
• Expense amounts and balances shown in Roomie are for convenience only. Roomie does not move money, and you settle up with your roommates yourselves. We are not responsible for disagreements between room members.

Acceptable use

Don’t use Roomie to:

• upload illegal, abusive or infringing content, or content you don’t have the right to share;
• harass other people;
• break, overload, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to the service.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you add. You give us permission to store, process and display it only to provide the service to you and your room.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damages, lost data or lost profits arising from your use of Roomie. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country.

Ending your use

You can stop using Roomie and delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account.

Changes

If we change these terms, we’ll update the date above. If the changes are significant, we’ll also tell you in the app. If you keep using Roomie after a change, you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Greece, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules in your country of residence.
